Patient’s blood is co-cultured with the NK-sensitive certified cell line like K652, followed by cell viability evaluation through flow cytometry. The NK toxicity is estimated in relation to K652 viability. The two-color fluorescence viability/cytotoxicity assay allows simultaneous determination of live and dead cells with probes that recognize 2 parameters of cell viability—intracellular esterase activity and plasma membrane integrity. 

SPECIMEN TYPE: 2 x PERIPHERAL BLOOD/ Sodium heparin (Green Vacutainer) (4ml each - 8ml total)

SAMPLE COLLECTION: For collection of blood samples, you should arrange for a healthcare professional to draw the bloods for you according to the instructions, in a licensed medical facility.

SAMPLE STORAGE & SHIPPING: Samples should be stored and shipped at ambient temperature and away from light. Next day delivery (24-36 hours) is required. Delivery of samples to our lab should be planned between Monday and Thursday but not Friday or during the Weekend. Sample collection and pick-up by courier should take place on the same day.

RESULT TURNAROUND TIME: Depending on how busy the lab is, we estimate you will get your results within 10 business days from the day your sample reaches us *.
